ERATONE

About Eratone

History in your ears.

Eratone is a premium audiobook store devoted to one idea: the lives and events that shaped our world deserve to be heard, not just read.

Our shelves hold the whole sweep of the human story: lives and memoirs, the ancient world, the medieval and early modern centuries, voyages of exploration, wars and turning points, and the making of the modern age. Some of these voices are eyewitnesses who stood inside the events they describe. Some have guided readers for more than a century. All of them were chosen with care, one title at a time, by a publisher, not an algorithm. And the shelves keep growing: our team works continuously to add more audiobooks and enrich your library.

If life leaves you no time to sit with a book, this store was built for you. Press play and go live your day. Each author spent years, sometimes a lifetime, understanding what happened, and that knowledge now travels with you, pure and without noise. Are some of these classics old? Yes, proudly. They are the record itself, the voices of their own centuries, and you are the judge of every account you hear.

Three ways to listen.

Who we are.

Eratone is operated by A Better You Everyday Publications, an independent publishing house based in Laval, Canada, creating premium books and audiobooks for readers and listeners around the world. We believe the story of the past should be told honestly, kept family friendly, and made welcoming to everyone, and we curate our catalog with that care.

An honest note on our recordings, and on price.

We narrate at a scale a small independent house can only reach by accepting a little humanity in the result. Now and then you may notice a small imperfection: a word read a touch too quickly, or a sentence where the narrator's tone shifts briefly because we repaired it after the original take. We choose, deliberately, to spend our time bringing you more titles rather than re-recording a book that is already almost right. That trade is what keeps this membership among the least expensive in audiobooks, and we would rather tell you plainly than pretend to be flawless.

A word on the price itself. Streaming and storing thousands of hours of audio costs real money every month: servers, storage, bandwidth, and the people who keep it all running. As the library grows, the subscription price for new members will rise from time to time. Your own price is locked for as long as your subscription stays active: keep it, and the price you joined at is the price you keep.

A note on our classics.

Let us be very clear, because we believe you deserve plain words. Many of our titles are public domain books, and some recordings were made by volunteers of projects like LibriVox and can be found free online. We say so plainly, right here. As we grow, more of the catalog will come from our own studio and other narrators.

So what are you paying for? The experience that makes listening effortless. A player on your phone or tablet that always remembers where you paused, lets you speed up or slow down any narration, and downloads books for offline. One library that holds everything you own. And behind it, the streaming, the bandwidth, the servers that carry hundreds of hours of audio, the curation and cover art, and real people at support. That is the whole deal, simply said.
